VSECU RUTLAND VERMONT 2013
One of New England Air’s many strengths is the ability to adapt to changing conditions and react swiftly with practical solutions. We were approached by the owner and architect for the VSECU project in Rutland Vermont to help with the mechanical and plumbing design approach. We were requested to design the HVAC and plumbing system within budget and to keep the project in a LEED status.
This opportunity was a successful merger of ideas from the owner, architect, general contractor, subcontractors, and engineers.
The team was able to meet the demands of the LEED status to receive the first LEED Gold rated banking institution in the State of Vermont, and the project has received the 2012 AGC of Vermont Green Best Builders Award for New, Specialty Building.
The unique use of VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) systems and high efficiency heating system provided a 39% total energy reduction while supporting the needs for comfort control and ventilation.
